LIFESTRAW, a public health B Corp ‘dedicated to providing equitable access to clean drinking water’, has launched its latest water filtration innovation: the LifeStraw Sip. The LifeStraw Sip is the world’s first reusable stainless steel water filter straw that removes microplastics, bacteria and parasites from drinking water.
The innovative technology and compact design are based on a novel high-flow microfiltre membrane that allows for easy drinking with excellent filtration, all in a small-format stainless steel straw, allowing the user to drink with confidence even when away from home.
Made from high-quality materials such as stainless steel and silicone, the LifeStraw Sip promises durability and reliability for up to 1,000 litres and comes with a high-quality, leak-proof carrying case.
“At LifeStraw, we believe in the power of innovation to drive positive change and are inspired by the challenge of bringing design, powerful technology and social impact together in a tangible and meaningful way,” said Alison Hill, CEO of LifeStraw. “We began as a humanitarian organization with a joint effort to eradicate Guinea worm disease in collaboration with the Carter Center in 1994.
“Today, our powerful water filtration technology prevents many of the most dangerous waterborne diseases. The LifeStraw Sip is our latest innovation that allows individuals to enjoy clean, safe water wherever the adventure takes them. The acquisition directly supports our work for equitable access to clean drinking water in North America, Africa and Asia.”
Designed for simplicity and portability, the LifeStraw Sip measures only about 25cm in length, weighs around 85 grams and comes with a high-quality, leak-proof carrying case. The LifeStraw Sip is perfect for travelers who value sustainability, environmental friendliness and a health-conscious life.
