For obvious reasons, the UK Outdoor Industry Awards 2021 process took place online this year with outdoor enthusiasts voting for their favourite product in each category and then being judged by a panel of outdoor industry experts. Criteria including innovation, functionality, choice of materials, environmental friendliness, safety and commercial viability were used by the judges to decide on the outright winners.
The judging panel comprised experts from the outdoor industry and included key journalists and retailers. Will Renwick (Editor, Outdoorsmagic) Sian Lewis (Freelance writer and magazine editor, The Girl Outdoors) Andy Green (Commercial Director, SportPursuit), Matt Jones (outdoor writer and editor) John Thynne (Deputy Editor, Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine) Jon Doran (Gear Editor, Trek & Mountain)
