Ten Consecutive Years Of Winning For Isbjörn’s Highly Durable Penguin Snowsuit

The Penguin Snowsuit from premium and sustainable outdoor kids’ brand ISBJÖRN OF SWEDEN has won the prestigious Bäst-i-Test (Best in Test) award for an astonishing tenth consecutive year. The annual test is organised independently by the Scandinavian Online Test Institute Bäst-i-Test but it is actual end-user children who rigorously test out various snowsuits.

During the cold Swedish winter months, children tested out the Penguin Snowsuit during various outdoor activities in freezing temperatures and snowy conditions. The snowsuits were then evaluated by parents and teachers after months of use, with focus on durability, functionality and ease of use.

Isbjörn’s bluesign® approved Penguin Snowsuit was praised for its flawless durability, functionality and extended use. Grow cuffs on arms and legs can be extended by a further 3cm to grow with the child before Penguin can be handed down to at least three younger siblings and friends or sold on the second hand market.

Penguin was also graded highly for its superior thermal performance, excellent water and abrasion resistance and for its comfortable, spacious fit. Younger children loved the fact they could play in the snow for an extended period while remaining warm and dry and the Penguin also gave them the independence to dress themselves as taking it on and off is so easy.

Parents of the children who participated in the five-month-long testing process collectively commented, “It’s great to see a snowsuit which matches, and even exceeds, the performance of any adult outdoor product. Mixing durability and functionality with sustainable fabrics, such as 100% recycled PrimaLoft insulation and fluorocarbon-free Bionic Finish Eco, means Penguin is better for the planet too.”

According to its Sustainability Pledge 2022,the brand’s sustainability road map is clearly set and the team is committed to becoming fully circular by 2030, going completely microplastic-free by 2026 and achieving Net Zero by 2045 at the latest.

Maria Frykman, Founder and CEO, said, “Our Penguin Snowsuit has been going strong for more than 15 years – the embodiment of durability and slow fashion longevity. Winning this coveted Bäst-i-Test award for ten consecutive years is testament to our team’s commitment to combining exceptional craftsmanship and sustainable practices, together with a deep passion for preserving the world’s natural wonders which inspire products such as Penguin Snowsuit.

“Every Isbjörn product is meticulously designed and tested to meet the highest standard of performance, durability and comfort so young adventurers can fully immerse themselves in the magic of nature’s playground.”
