Ortovox 24/25 Ski Touring Winter Collection – Pure. Light. Alpine

Since 1980, South German mountain sports specialist ORTOVOX has been protecting mountain enthusiasts with innovative, highly functional products, and the alpine region with sustainability initiatives.

Offering everything from base layer to technical mid layer to avalanche airbag backpacks and emergency equipment, the 24/25 winter collection offers a complete range for quick evening outings as well as for steep alpine couloirs.

Whether it’s the streamlined minimalists from the Light line, the technical items in the Pure line or the sophisticated high-end products in the Alpine line, they’re there when it matters. Pure. Light. Alpine.

From long ascents to steep couloirs, ski tours in alpine terrain require optimum weight and function. The SWITCHBACK is a lightweight, technically sophisticated backpack with alpine features for demanding ski tours.

One especially practical feature is quick access to equipment. Shoulder and hip pockets, a side compartment for crampons, climbing skins and ski crampons plus a rope can all be easily accessed without having to remove the backpack. A carabiner can also be used to attach skis parallel to the backpack while it is being worn.

Emergency equipment and a light ice axe stored in the separate safety compartment can be quickly grabbed in an emergency, while all items in the main compartment can be accessed via the fully fold-out back.

A large, separate compartment provides additional space in the upper part of the backpack. If the backpack is not too full, the volume can be effectively reduced using the A-Skifix 3-point compression straps.

Two ice axe holders, a daisy chain, a rope attachment and a helmet net complement the versatile attachment options. When heavily loaded, the ergonomic Full Contact Light Back System distributes the load optimally across the back.
