The new Camp Shelter from Danish brand EASY CAMP is more than a gazebo, extending potential uses from day events to overnight stays meaning outdoor living throughout the summer can be enjoyed in so many ways.
Easy Camp has taken the open sheltered living area of gazebos and added a waterproof rear tent for sleeping and storage. The hybrid character adds an extra dimension to an outdoor shelter, allowing privacy and storage at events as well as use for garden sleep overs and as a tent on campsites. It also makes a neat addition for campervan use where its open aspect and outside bedroom offer welcome flexible space.
The Camp Shelter is made from PU-coated polyester that has a 2,000mm hydrostatic head, supported by fibreglass poles to reduce weight for easy handling and maintenance. Weighing in at 12kg and with a packed size of 66cm x 22cm, storage and transportation is easier in smaller homes and vehicles.
The clip-in six-person tent has mesh ventilation in the door, roof and walls for bug-free airflow to keep inside fresh when the sun shines. Toggle-up curtains provide privacy and cut out draughts when required. The tent’s sewn-in groundsheet and a detachable groundsheet under the canopy not only keep feet clean and dry but also offer a play area for children sheltering from the heat of the day.
Easy Camp makes the point that ultraviolet rays (UV) will damage a tent if it’s expose it to direct sunlight for longer periods of time, stating its products are made for camping use, normally regarded as two-five weeks use a year. They are not designed for permanent use. Camping near the sea or lake can further exacerbate the effect of UV radiation.
