Part of the SKISET family of companies, NETSKI is a new website for ‘easy online ski rental, great for kids, teens and young people, saving time and money whilst getting expert advice and quality equipment.’
Skiset was established in 1994 by former ski champions Annie Famose and Leo Lacroix plus leading tour operators Pierre Favre, Alain and Bernard Front and Patrick Lepeudry. It has grown into the largest ski rental provider in Europe and also covers destinations in the US and Canada.
It claims a 40% market share of mountain equipment rental in France, with a European turnover of €400m per season across its partner store network. There are 800 shops in 400 ski resorts in countries including, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Andorra, Spain, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia, US and Canada.
Skiers and snowboarders can book online for discounts of up to 50% off walk up rates with flexibility to choose the rental duration. Customers enjoy a simple booking process and then receive expert advice at 150 ski hire locations in seven countries; skis, poles, snowboards, boots and helmets are all available
Skiers and snowboarders choose their resort, their dates and their skill level, entering weight, and shoe size for each party member. Customers receive a QR code once the booking is confirmed. The Netski QR code is scanned at the ski hire location to remove the need for form filling or taking heights/weights in the hire shop.
Each of the 150 Netski hire locations is chosen for its expertise, quality equipment and location – either in the heart of the resort or at the bottom of the slopes. Equipment is available in the shop at no extra charge from 17:00 on the day before the first day of skiing saving time and effort.
Customers can choose to have their skis delivered and some of the rental locations offer a storage option, enabling customers to leave their equipment at the shop overnight in a safe deposit locker system.
