British outdoor clothing brand MONTANE has launched its Spring/Summer 2022 collection of active shell jackets, legwear, tops, and packs designed ‘to give those looking for adventure total confidence to boldly explore and experience more in kit which is truly fit for purpose.’

A key focus for Montane in SS22 is on active shell wear with the release of the new Spine Jacket. With its versatile credentials ideally suited to a multi-activity mindset, the Spine Jacket is predicted to be the must have item for adventurers.

The collection includes the innovative Lite-Speed Trail Pull-On windshirt. It’s Montane’s lightest wind chill barrier, weighing less than 60g and constructed from 100% recycled PERTEX Quantum Eco fabric.
The collection also sees an expansion of the brand’s pack range including the release of the Trailblazer LT 20. Designed and built with the brand’s strapline of ‘Further. Faster.’ in mind, the pack is suited for those needing optimum capacity and minimum weight. With its close-fitting design and weighing just 300g, it’s marketed as a combination of the Gecko Ultra V+ and the Trailblazer day pack.

Montane’s Global Marketing Manager Matthew Hickman said, “Our collection for SS22 embodies innovative and technical performance, durability, simplicity and functionality – everything must bring gains to have a reason to exist. The collection will enable people to push themselves free of distraction to show what they are truly capable of achieving.
“We thrive on adventure and our collection will push people to achieve and experience more, to that ‘yes’ moment which leads to feeling truly alive.”
The collection is further strengthened in legwear with the release of Ineo Pro Pants which feature tough wind and water-resistant stretch fabric with a second skin fit for freedom of movement and the Axial Lite ‘do it all’ packable shorts.

Further product developments are seen in a focused BMC climbing capsule range which features the Ratio Rock Pack in two sizes. These have a variety of features designed to take the everyday climber from home to work and from the gym to the crag. The packs offer space for clothing, climbing equipment and a laptop with compartments for effective organisation.
