The UK’s OUTDOOR TRADE SHOW (OTS, 18-20 June – strictly trade-only) has navigated the challenges experienced by the outdoor industries in the 21st C with energy, application and style. The lively context of the Liverpool Exhibition Centre location complements the dynamism of the brands exhibiting at the show.
Whilst the term ‘networking’ is often used to characterise the value of meeting in person, it’s the sense of community that makes OTS unique, adding even more value to a key business event. And business is what it’s all about. The business of building awareness and relationships, cementing partnerships and exploring new opportunities.
For visitors and exhibitors alike, proper preparation prevents the usual suspects. With decades of trade show visits under our belts, here are a few tips to make of the most of your visit. Feel free to pass it on to your colleagues.
Make the most of OTS

- REGISTER before the show for easy access as there is no automatic registration of previous visitors – names, companies, roles change!
- Make sure you leave time to explore new EXHIBITORS after securing appointments with key suppliers.
- Check out the innovation on display in the Outdoor Industry Awards showcase. You can also explore the Trail Running Area and check out the latest equipment at the dedicated climbing village.
- After the show closes on the first day, the halls remain open and MANY BRANDS offer a great way to wind down after the hectic pace of business during the day.
- Get a FREE REPAIR of a damaged garment by the United Repair Centre team of experts.
- Get in shape for the show with a MORNING RUN.
- The popular OTS SUSTAINABILITY BREAKFAST is an opportunity for retailers, brands and media to hear from industry experts about sustainability. Likely to be fully booked by the start of the show, CONTACT THE SHOW ORGANISERS to be placed on a waiting list.
- This year’s OTS Social has been revamped with a very convenient and unique location – The Terrace on the 1st floor of the Exhibition Centre with an outdoor balcony overlooking the Mersey. Tickets are not available to buy at the show; THEY CAN BE PURCHASED FROM THE WEBSITE. As well as finalists for Outdoor Industry Awards, OTS will announce the winners of the new Outdoor Retailer of the Year Awards 2024, celebrating the best outdoor retailers in five different categories.
- The OTS Press Office is reserved for the media as a work, rest and meeting area.
- At Outdoor i, we will continue our long-established support of OTS by publishing an OTS Preview and a Special Issue to enable non-subscribers to see what they’re missing, both distributed digitally to all pre-registered visitors. Once again, Outdoor i will be running its hugely successful PROFILE BULLETIN Jobs Board at the show and welcomes input from brands and retailers seeking to recruit staff.
