New styles in the Klättermusen SS21 collection place an emphasis on hiking and trekking with key design and fabric advancements. A new lightweight version of its proprietary wind and waterproof Cutan has been introduced and the collection features its light, strong and waterproof Retina fabric to meet the demands of outdoor activities during spring and summer.
Klättermusen CEO Gonz Ferrero said, “In this collection, we present innovative, made-to-last products with a strong focus on lightweight, waterproof protection by advancing the development of the best performing sustainable fabrics in the market. We were inspired by the color and seasonal changes of Sweden’s Jämtland mountains and this fed into choices for fabric color and tactilities.
“With iconic details such as triangle-shaped reflectors that combine distinctiveness and safety, this range will continue to energize current and soon-to-be mountaineers with the best, and most reliable, technical equipment. We are also proud to say that the SS21 collection will leave less of an impact on nature than any of its predecessors.”
Three of the key products in the SS21 collection are:
Asynja – Waterproof jacket and pants produced with bluesign-approved fluorocarbon-free Cutan fabric. Weighing just over 300g for the jacket and 293g on the pants, both are fully taped making them water & windproof and can be easily packed into their own pockets.
Grimner – Outdoor pants and shorts (M’s & W’s) feature one of Klättermusen’s latest fabrics, Hirsutum, an organic cotton blended with bio-based polyamide and elastane, which offers freedom of movement and a lightweight and comfortable feel. For added safety and durability, the knees and rear are reinforced with Cordura ripstop and there’s a reflective triangle on the leg.
Brimer – 24L & 32L backpacks designed to move with the body thanks to the flexible aluminium frame and adjustable waist belt. The main fabric is made from 100% recycled and waterproof Retina fabric making the Brimer a very durable pack without compromising weight. The lid-covered main opening combined with big side pockets and a front bungee system makes these packs perfect for 1-2-day hiking and trekking trips.
