British outdoor clothing specialist MONTANE has launched its AW21 collection encouraging customers ‘to experience and discover more in kit designed for optimal performance and functionality.’
The brand drills down on its core messaging of simplicity and realism with responsible innovation through new insulated and softshell jackets, fleeces, legwear, baselayers, equipment and accessories.
At the heart of the AW21 collection is its down and synthetic insulation technology, ideal for active exploring in cold weather conditions. Both offer warmth and peak performance through a variety of garment fills.
Kit highlights include the Men’s Janhukot Jacket, a robust piece of ‘do it all’ down insulation and the warm and packable Unisex Featherlite Down Pants. The Fireball jacket, available in both the Men’s and Women’s ranges, uses a unique construction of synthetic eco insulation to regulate body temperature in colder climates.
Sitting alongside this in the range is the pairing of the Krypton hoodie and jacket, both featuring a high loft brushed lining designed to trap heat and manage moisture in changeable conditions.
The collection also sees new softshell jackets designed with versatility and movement in mind. Kit highlights include the Women’s and Men’s Pac Plus XT Jacket, a light, packable and fully featured mountain shell which has been made using 100% recycled Gore-Tex PACLITE® PLUS technology.

Further developments are seen in the legwear collection focusing on durability, performance, and comfort for all types of terrain. Kit highlights include the Men’s Terra Edge Pants, a tough, lightweight scrambling or climbing pant, and the Women’s Ineo Tough Pants which are super stretchy performance mountain leggings.
The Men’s Dragon Long Trail Tights and the Women’s Katla Long Trail Tights are light and stretchy trail running tights designed specifically for mountain runners. The tights use ECONYL® regenerated nylon yarns, which are tough yet have a reduced environmental impact.
Other kit highlights include the VIA Shift Glove, a lightweight glove with pull-out windproof mitts. The VIIA Stretch Beanie and the VIA Stretch Headband are warm yet lightweight, cold-weather trail running accessories. The THERMO LITE stretch fleece with anti-odour treatment wicks moisture away so it dries quickly.
Unifying the brand’s strapline of ‘Further. Faster.’ and its philosophy of needing less to do more, the AW21 collection offers less complexity and distractions and more focus, commitment and adventure. It will be available for purchase this month.
