Available now, BERGHAUS has introduced a collection of new apparel to keep out the elements while exploring the hills and mountains this winter. The range includes the four-season Ridge-Seeker waterproof jacket and pant, and the highly weather resistant Ridge-Roamer softshell jacket and pant. All of the products are available now, in men’s and women’s specific versions.
Ridge-Seeker GTX Jacket (suggested retail price – SRP – £350)
The Ridge-Seeker Jacket is a tough four-season shell in lightweight 3L Gore-Tex ePE with reinforcements in key wear areas. Designed for rough weather and long days out in the hills and mountains, it offers a balance of maximum durability with low weight. Features include a fixed, wired hood, with two-point adjustment, which stays put and moves with the head; easy access storage for essentials in zipped internal and external chest pockets; two zipped hand pockets that are compatible with pack or harness; pit zips for losing heat when working hard; easy to use Velcro adjustment at the cuffs for extra protection; cordlock adjustment at the hem and a two-way centre front zip for added versatility. The women’s Ridge-Seeker weighs 500g (size 12) and the men’s weighs 556g (large).
Ridge-Seeker GTX Pant (SRP £280)
Designed to work together with its namesake, the Ridge-Seeker Pant is made from lightweight 3L Gore-Tex ePE fabric. Cut for day-long comfort, there are reinforced key wear and stress points at the knees, inner calves and seat. Three-quarter-length, two-way side zips make the Ridge-Seeker Pant easy to put on over boots in a hurry and to lose heat when working hard. An integrated elasticated waistband delivers a comfortable fit, regardless of layers underneath. Leg cuffs are adjustable at two points for extra protection from the elements. The women’s pant weighs 366g (size 12) and the men’s weighs 389g (large).
Ridge-Roamer Softshell Jacket (SRP £270)
The Ridge-Roamer 3L Softshell Jacket is ideal for meeting all seasons in one day. The highly weather resistant and breathable 3L softshell fabric with fully taped seams is very breathable and has four-way stretch, ready to help users take on the cold and wet in comfort with outstanding freedom of movement. The PFC-free durable water repellent (DWR) coating delivers enhanced protection from the elements. Other features include an adjustable hood for added protection on the move; water resistant, zipped hand pockets and an internal laminated chest pocket for essentials; elasticated cuffs and adjustable hem help to keep out the cold and wet; two-way front zip for extra versatility. The women’s jacket weighs 355g (size 12) and the men’s weighs 420g (large).
Ridge-Roamer Softshell Pant (SRP £200)
Made from 3L softshell fabric for optimum weather versatility, the Ridge-Roamer Pant features taped seams for added protection and durability. Four-way stretch delivers excellent freedom of movement for striding on in comfort, in all but the worst weather. An adjustable elastic waistband ensures a great fit, and lower leg zips mean that they work with any footwear. Other features include belt loops with attachment points for braces; patch panels at the inner calves for extra durability where mud and water gets kicked up and water resistant, zipped hand pockets for essentials. The women’s pant weighs 300g (size 12) and the men’s weighs 340g (large).
