Founded in 1989, CAMELBAK invented the hands-free hydration category and has launched its new Apex™ Pro Run Vest, which it states is, ‘the ultimate trail running vest that takes the trail running experience to the next level.’ The new vest is now available online and in the outdoor shops throughout Europe.
Designed and tested by CamelBak top athletes, such as New Zealand pro runner Scotty Hawker, the Apex Pro Run Vest is CamelBak’s most advanced and purpose-built vest.
Available in four sizes (XS-S-M-L), with a cargo capacity of 12l (including 1 litre of water), the new vest features all the necessary components of an ultra-vest, ‘offering unmatched performance for ultralong-distance races with demanding gear requirements.’
Several safety features have been added to the new vest, starting with RECCO® Technology as it comes with a RECCO reflector sewn inside the vest, making it searchable by rescue professionals worldwide.
The stowable and removable trekking pole quiver is a foldable solution that can be removed or folded inside the vest when not in use; removable bungees on the front also allow runners to attach trekking poles as an alternative way to carry them.
The engineered knit mesh on the back offers calibrated ventilation and lightness. Stretch overflow pockets on the sides and the front are at hand to stash fuel, water and gear. The super stretchy back side of the new Apex Pro features a water-resistant pocket to protect your electronic items against rain, sweat and reservoir condensation.
The bigger compartment is secured by a full-length diagonal zip so showing judges mandatory equipment is as easy as unzipping it. A separate compartment can also hold a CamelBak reservoir.
Apex Pro comes in a unisex version and includes 2 QuickStow soft flasks (0,5L each).
