Creating ‘eco-friendly’ footwear, BOATILUS, a well-established brand in France, entered the UK market in 2021. The versatile Bioty sandals, pictured, for girls and boys are vibrant, fun, comfortable, lightweight and easy to put on.
The founders are parents and seventh generation footwear manufacturers, making footwear since 1810. With a combination of French and Italian styling, the Boatilus brand offers sustainable, original footwear for children. Alongside quality and comfort, priority is given to the chemical composition of the materials used.
Free from phthalates, phenols and latex, Boatilus prefers to manufacture in Europe using either recyclable or biodegradable raw materials. The result is ‘eco-friendly’ footwear – 100% recyclable, free from phthalates, lemon scented (made with lemon rinds), ergonomic design with cartons made from 100% recycled materials.
The Ducky Smelly Welly Boot is a sturdy, reliable and sustainable welly boot. Fully waterproof, it’s made from a durable and flexible non-slip rubber with a tri-density sole for more stability. Features include a soft insulated collar, drawstring closure with toggle, thermal boost aluminium midsole and warm fleece lining made from recycled bottles.
Being made from 100% Megol rubber allows the Ducky to be flexible and durable in colder temperatures. The boots also have an anti-shock, anti-slip sole, moulded heel kick to help remove boots and ergonomic moulded footbed for extra support.
