Joe Brown’s Llanberis & Capel Curig are long established iconic outdoor shops situated in fantastic rural settings amongst the hills of Snowdonia.
Due to the nature of the business and our multiple locations a flexible and open approach to work is required.
This role is primarily shop floor based but can include web/warehouse days. You will need the skills required to serve customers, be able to work as part of a small team and work without supervision.
The normal working week is five days and can be in Llanberis or Capel Curig.
The shops/warehouse are open 7 days a week, including all bank holidays (except 25th/26th December), so this post will involve working regular weekends and bank holidays.
Salary - £16,995.
Holiday - 28 days a year including Bank Holidays.

Applicant Profile & Experience
A wide experience of rock climbing and hill-walking is essential. The ideal applicant will also have experience of backpacking and (preferably) some winter climbing. Any experience of trekking or mountaineering in other regions of the world would be an additional benefit.
Previous retail experience particularly in an outdoor shop is desirable. An understanding of electronic stock systems and processes is helpful. Applicants should have a basic competence with excel, be organised and be suited to multi-tasking.
The applicant would be confident and have a pleasant open manner with customers and staff alike, together with a good knowledge of outdoor equipment. A neat and tidy disposition is desirable.
Some staff uniform is provided.
