Whitby & Co is a well-established and successful outdoor accessory distributor located in Kendal, gateway to the Lake District.
Due to internal change and expansion, we are creating a new role for an Internal Sales Development Manager.
As Internal Sales Development Manager you will be responsible for managing your own UK wide accounts, supporting our successful, rapidly expanding co-brand business and also our B2C function.
You will represent a diverse portfolio of accessory brands from Klean Kanteen drinking bottles to Leatherman Multi Tools and be expected to understand the appropriate markets and customer demographics for all of our brands.
Operating from our head office in Kendal, you will be expected to continue to grow relationships with the existing account portfolio, as well as being proactive in finding new sales opportunities that are appropriate and sustainable. You will analyse sales data, identify opportunities, and develop appropriate strategies for growth.
You will report to the senior management team on a regular basis, with the ability to communicate feedback on customers and the general market activity. You will report directly to the National Sales Manager to ensure that delivery of exceptional customer service to your accounts is maintained. You will also work closely with the Sales Operations Manager and Sales Office team to continually improve the operational infrastructure.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and professional. You must have the ability to solve problems, be creative and prioritise tasks appropriately. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form. Good working knowledge of commonly used business software packages is important. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of internal sales in previous roles and will be able to demonstrate success in these roles.
