Account Executive – Field Sales - Northern England & North Wales (Home Based)

About the Role

As part of the Consumer Retail Sales team, this role is focused on maintaining and growing the sales of both our iconic paper map series and an ever-increasing new product portfolio.  You will be responsible for building excellent relationships across your designated territory to help exceed sales targets in leading High Street retailers such as WH Smith and Waterstones, plus Outdoor stores including Millets, Blacks & Go Outdoors. You will also build business development plans with nominated wholesalers within your territory.

Working with the Retail Sales Manager and National Account Manager as well as the rest of the Retail Field team to achieve growth targets, you will be responsible for the implementation of agreed sales and marketing activities. Bringing the OS brand to the customer to best promote our range of products will involve maintaining prominent product feature, display & availability across your designated territory & accounts.

To help keep the business moving forward you will need to have your finger on the pulse of all relevant channels and be able to provide market intelligence for sales, marketing and product development.

Accountabilities:

About You

  • Specific outdoor and / or high street retail / field sales experience
  • Good product, pricing, supply chain and channel market knowledge
  • Good knowledge of sales territory / local area
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative to achieve targets and objectives

Location: You will be a home worker centrally located within your designated sales territory, ideally based within South Yorkshire. This role will involve extensive travel around your designated sales area often requiring you to stay away from home, as well as the ability to work from home from time to time.
