About the Role
You will have the opportunity to join and contribute to the success of our Consumer business within Ordnance Survey, and there has never been a more exciting time to join us.
As the Account Executive, you will be helping us maintain and expand sales of our iconic paper map portfolio in the Consumer Market. Working within your designated sales area of North East England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, your outstanding interpersonal skills will be utilised as you build excellent relationships across your sales territory to maintain existing business & achieve/exceed sales targets in leading High Street retailers such as WH Smith and Waterstones, plus Outdoor stores including Millets, Blacks & Cotswold Outdoors.
To achieve growth targets, you will sustain Ordnance Survey brand awareness by maintaining prominent feature, display & availability of our published paper mapping products across your designated sales territory. Responsible for implementation of agreed sales and marketing activities as defined by Retail Sales Manager and Account Managers, you will also provide market intelligence from within the retail sector with specific focus on impacts of macro-economic factors and emerging/competing products.
This role will be perfect for an ambitious, self- motivated individual who has a desire to develop a career at Ordnance Survey. Good product, pricing, supply chain and channel market knowledge for the relevant area of the business is necessary. You would benefit from the ability to make sound commercial decisions based on factual information and sales analysis. Your excellent presentation and communication skill set will also enable you to deliver introductory navigation and map reading skills to both retail store staff and consumers alike.

Location: This role will involve extensive travel around your designated sales area as well as the ability to work from home from time to time.
